2024 Notice of Funding Availability
The Orange County Housing Finance Trust (OCHFT) has issued Addendum #1 to the 2024 Notice of Funding Availability, which reflects the remaining amount of funds available under the NOFA as of the November 2024 Trust Board meeting, and extends the availability of funds through July 2025.
The OCHFT has $4,355,548.74 remaining available under the 2024 NOFA. Of the amount available, $1,949,838.75 ($949,921.45 in LHTF funds and $999,917.30 in MHSA funds) are available for projects in Irvine and Yorba Linda. In addition, $2,405,709.99 ($1,172,012.56 in LHTF funds and $1,233,697.43 in MHSA funds) are available to the following cities.

Application due dates for the 2025 Trust Board meetings are:
December 13, 2024 for the January 15, 2025 meeting;
February 14, 2025 for the March 19, 2025 meeting;
April 18, 2025 for the May 21, 2025 meeting; and,
June 13, 2025 for the July 16, 2025 meeting.
It is anticipated that a 2025 NOFA will be released in mid-2025.
Prior Updates
The 2024 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) provides for the availability of twenty five million, seven hundred thousand, five-hundred one dollars and fifty-nine cents ($25,700,501.59) in Orange County Housing Finance Trust (OCHFT) funds that promoted the new construction or acquisition/rehabilitation of Permanent Supportive and Affordable Housing affordable for Orange County’s extremely low-income households by providing below market rate financing.
A NOFA Question & Answer session will be held via Zoom on February 12, 2024 at 10 AM. All interested parties can register for the Q&A session here.
The initial deadline for applications is March 15, 2024 at 5:00pm. The online application form is available HERE.
July 2024 Update
At the May 2024 Trust Board Meeting, the Board awarded $16,795,940 to six projects. Currently, there is $8,904,561.59 remaining available under the 2024 NOFA.
Of the amount available, $2,716,238.75 ($1,323,295.80 in LHTF funds and $1,392,942.95 in MHSA funds) are available for projects in Irvine and Yorba Linda. In addition, $5,895,709.99 ($2,872,268.97 in LHTF funds and $3,023,441.02 in MHSA funds) are available to the following cities.
September 2024 Update
At the September 2024 Trust Board Meeting, the Board awarded an additional $5,789,200 to three projects. Currently, there is $4,965,361.59 remaining available under the 2024 NOFA.
Of the amount available, $1,949,838.75 ($949,921.45 in LHTF funds and $999,917.30 in MHSA funds) are available for projects in Irvine and Yorba Linda. In addition, $2,405,709.99 ($1,172,012.56 in LHTF funds and $1,233,697.43 in MHSA funds) are available to the following cities.

Finally, $609,812.85 in MHSA funding is available for projects in any Orange County city.
Applications are open for this remaining funding. In accordance with the NOFA, applications submitted by October 18th will be considered at the November Board meeting.
